This piece was deeply reflective. Finding myself within the design, I was seeking to articulate the redemption that I have experienced through salvation in Christ. In this process, I wanted to depict the exact scene of the lighthouse from years ago painting acrylics, but now in the medium of oil.
Within this piece, I am reminded of the scriptures
“And the light in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:5
The Lyric…
“He alone~my hope and stay.”
Jesus is with us~and as the scriptures reads in Psalm 139, even the darkness is light to Him.
He IS THE LIGHT~ and our Life…our salvation.
